Who Am I?
Well, that is something difficult to put into words in just a few short sentences…
I put myself into every piece I create. It’s my heart and soul on a canvas or page. Art, like music, can cover every human emotion. I’m hopeful that, in putting myself out there, you will find something for whatever feeling you might have at the moment.
So, since summing myself up on paper isn’t easy, I’ll tell you a bit of
my story…
I have been drawing and painting since I picked up my first pencil. My father was a self-taught artist and the inspiration for this journey I’ve embarked on. Watching him create and seeing the joy it brought him made me want to follow in his footsteps.
I went to college in CT and received a degree in Art Illustration in 1997. After college, I found myself working in Information Technology for many years. Art seemed to flow in and out of my life, and there is one truth in all of it… when I’ve taken time away from my true passion for art, I feel like a piece of me is missing. So I decided to put all my spare energy into what I love (My artwork).
And THE NOW….
I reside in the relatively small town of Southbury, CT. Other than my two amazing children, the thing that brings me the most joy in life is my artwork. I typically work in colored pencil, graphite, and acrylic paint.
Art is an escape; therapy, for both the artist and the viewer. I hope you find just a little bit here.
